Tutoring for Dyslexia, Reading, Writing, & Spelling in St. Charles, MO & Surrounding Areas
Tutoring for Dyslexia & Language-Based Learning Disorders
Dyslexia Therapy
Using the Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia and other Orton-Gillingham-based instruction, I provide intensive tutoring services for children with Dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
To help your child make meaningful gains, I use a multi-sensory approach (visual, hands-on, and interactive) which activates all of the learning pathways simultaneously to target the core components of reading— phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. We typically follow a more intensive schedule, meeting for 2-3 sessions per week.
Dyslexia therapy builds literacy skills and confidence, helping your child feel more capable and supported at school.
Personalized Tutoring for Reading, Writing, & Spelling
Educational Tutoring
Educational Tutoring is designed for students who need extra support in reading, writing, or spelling. Whether your child is catching up or looking to strengthen specific skills, tutoring provides focused, one-on-one instruction guided by what they are actively working on in school.
Each session is tailored to your child’s learning style and current classroom goals, using flexible, practical strategies that make sense to them. We typically meet for 1 tutoring session a week.
Tutoring builds skills and confidence, helping schoolwork feel more manageable and learning feel more achievable.

Self-Paced Online Courses for Parents & Educators
An Introduction to Everything Dyslexia
In this introductory course, you will learn about general dyslexia related topics such as the definition, characteristics, brain research, legislation, and effective teaching practices.
You will also be encouraged to walk in the footsteps of a person who has dyslexia through simulation activities and hearing about the social-emotional impact in the words of individuals who live with dyslexia.
What Works for Dyslexia: Multi-Sensory Structured Language Teaching Strategies
In this course, you will gain effective strategies and techniques that you can use to help your child or student grow into a more skilled reader and writer.
You will see teaching demonstrations and learn why research shows that structured literacy teaching addresses how children actually learn to read.
The beauty is that although research shows these techniques are critical for students with learning differences, it benefits all students!
The Ultimate Field Guide for Educators and Parents: Making Sense of How the English Language Works
In this course, teachers and parents will discover the history of English, the components of language, and the stages of reading development.
This course also includes background information to help you better understand the structure of language in the areas of phonological awareness, phonics, orthography, and morphology.
Do not be afraid— many of us didn't learn this in school! Common, everyday language will be used throughout this course so that even what may be complicated will become understandable.
